Bulla Dairy's Authentic Employee Stories Drive Unprecedented Recruitment Success
THE CHALLENGE
Australia’s leading family-owned dairy business was looking to rejuvenate its recruitment campaign for both operations and admin roles post COVID-19 lockdowns. For a business driven by its values, the task was to create a campaign that would attract people to Bulla’s core values: Unfakeable, Trusted, Family. The Signal Box came alongside Bulla Dairy Foods to create a recruitment campaign: one that captured the down to earth, unfakeable nature of the business, to attract a workforce to regional Victoria.

WHAT WE DID
Who better to speak about working at Bulla than the workers themselves. We love working with authentic non-actor talent and interviewed over 30 employees across four locations, all telling us their stories of what makes Bulla a family-focused, trusted, and unfakeable place to work. Two hero spots were created, one to showcase the brand values of Bulla, and the other to connect directly with food manufacturing workers for the operations facilities in Colac. These hero videos were accompanied by a series of cutdowns for all digital channels. Results: Bulla achieves unprecedented success in recruitment drive and LinkedIn engagement.

Product Handler
Production - Colac VIC
In this variation, the core message revolves around the life of the Product Handlers at Bulla. The narrative focuses on the lifestyle of a Bulla Product Handler and what it’s like living in Colac, Victoria. One of the communication challenges was a perception of job stagnation. To cut through this, The Signal Box asked interviewees about their own career growth, progression, and longevity at their time at Bulla.
