THE CHALLENGE
Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre, partnering with VANDAL & Art Pharmacy, wanted to create a captivating new entrance to their shopping centre through a large vertical display screen and custom art installations in a glass display box floating over the entrance. Over 12 months we had the opportunity to interview and capture each of the five artists that created pieces for the centre.
I can say with total confidence: these guys are amazing.
They made me feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
WHAT WE DID
We wanted to take the audience on a journey into the life and process of each artist and their unique installations. Each artist had a specialty ranging from paper, to textiles, to tea bags! We filmed the process of each piece from creation in the respective artists’ studios to installation at Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre, thus we were able to shed light on the process and story behind each artist and their installations.
