Essential visual brand identity for a new occupational therapy service
THE CHALLENGE
Newcomers to the occupational therapy space, the sibling co-founders sought to develop a visual brand identity for their new business Ascent Living Therapy. Entering the industry as an independent, the immediate challenges are awareness and trust. The visual treatment would therefore look to instill trust and reflect their mission of improving the quality of life and independence in the lives of their clients.

WHAT WE DID
What stood out immediately was the passion of the owner-operators and their philosophy to providing occupational therapy. We looked to encapsulate the mission and origin story in the treatment, striving to deliver a personalised nurturing journey towards independence and growth.At the end of exploring different visual ideations, there were three distinctive visual concepts which represented Ascent Living Therapy – a dandelion, derived from the Korean surname of the co-owners ‘민’; a mountain, representing the brand namesake and the aspirational journey the customers will be taken on; and a growing branch, reflecting Ascent Living Therapy’s mission of fostering growth and independence. We integrated the three directions into the primary logo and expanded the visual identity by keeping the dandelion motif as part of the brand’s iconography.
